We have several openings for Flight instructors.

In order to make the selection process as efficient as possible for both sides, allow me some upfront remarks:

  • Europe-American Aviation is a Cessna Pilot Center located in Naples, Florida.
  • We are a Part 61 Flight school, as well as Part 141 certified for Private Pilot Training.
  • We currently operate 5 new C172 SP’s and two C172M, a Cherokee 180 and an Arrow. For Multi training a Piper Aztec is available.
  • We are INS certified to issue I20-Forms for foreign student training. Our customer base consists of app. 50% European students and app. 50% US students.
  • For more details about our school, check our website at:

We are looking for at least one more CFI / CFII (MEI preferred) to teach everything from Private
to CPL, ATP and CFI. Ideally flight time should be greater than 500h, dual given ideally more than 300h. Based on the qualification we pay $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (Flight and Ground). The payment is before Taxes, as we consider only full-time employment. You can expect to invoice more than 100 hours p.m. if you are willing to work hard. We will not hire anybody if we have not had a chance to meet you in person, however we are not in a position to reimburse any travel expenses.

Computer skills are a plus.

Having said all this and you are still interested in this position, please sent us a resume with a breakdown of your hours by airplane type, to make sure that our insurance requirements are matched.

We then will contact you immediately.

Again, thank you very much for your interest in our company.

Sincerely,

[email protected]

ahhhhhhh yes...maintain our LAN/WAN for free while being a pilot with us. Been there....done that....of course now I wish I hadn't left. ;)

Well it's not that bad.....

But we are pretty much doing everything on computer;
invoices, customer records, 141 records, renter database, prospective customer database, GPS simulator etc.etc.
So "computer skills" is basically just knowing your way around one you don't have to be a network designer to work here you know:D

Excuse me while I BUMP.

Some people still looking for a good job out there?:D

Would you be interested in an Aussie instructor. I have 4 years of instructing in Sydney, 1500 TT, 290 multi on BE76. Have an Aussie Commercial certificate, Multi Enging instrument rating(covers SE as well), Flight Instructor rating with Multi Engine Training Approval, Instrument Training approval so come shortly.

I know the visa issue would be a hassel and I would have to convert my licences and rating to your equivalents but I owuld love to work in th states for a time and would give you 2 years great service.

Hi Ozzie,

Unfortunately after 9-11 the visa situation is pretty complicated.
You would need a work visa based on special qualifications. However being an instructor is not enough. Your potential employer would need to prove they can not find an American citizen to do the job.
There's a good thread on www.Pprune.com under "wannabee's" about working in the US as an instructor.

As I might have guessed. I was hoping that Aussies would have a little bit of an easier time for things like visas etc.,considering we are one of the United States most loyal allies, particularly in the coalition in Iraq and the war against terror, and indeed since WW2.

Unfortunately your government sees AUS/US relations as a 1 way st, our support gains nothing in return.

It's my understanding that Canadians and Mexicans can freely enter and find work as an instructor in the USA under NAFTA (since instructors are teachers, they do not need a greencard, just a visa). I do believe that the borders are open for teachers, which also means it's open to flight instructors. Although, after 9-11, I'm sure the process to get a visa has changed. My dad's entire family is American and I am not eligible for a greencard. It's weird and complicating!

I am a CFII/MEI but I only have 435 TT and 15 hours dual given. I live in Maryland and I would be interested in moving to Florida. If my TT time is good enough for you, let me know.

Was your dad an American Citizen when you were born? If so, you can still get American Citizenship (and thus you don't need a green card). I was almost born in Indonesia but my dad turned down the job (thank god!).

Jedi,

No he was not. His family immigrated to the States when he was around 20. My dad, however, came to Canada to go to University. He never lived in the States, and does not have a greencard or citizenship. All his family are US citizens though. I guess if my dad did have the greencard or citizenship I'd be able to apply. It's too bad though, because I'd love to move to florida :)

Sorry ladies and gentlemen this one needs a BUMP back to the 1 st page..
