Hey folks,

My CFI was issued on Sep 30, 2004. I'm pretty sure I slipped up and let it expire. But I wasn't sure if I had until the end of october??? Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Ahhh, that's what I was afraid of.

Listen, it might not be too bad. You could add a rating to the CFI and it would start the clock all over. Otherwise, it's expired.

Question: Do you need to do the reinstatement ride with a FAA examiner or will a DE be fine? Since the original one was with the FAA, I'm thinking DE, but perhaps not.

You can reinstate with a DE, that's no problem at all.

I forgot you could do it with a DE. I already have CFII, MEI and CFI-glider. Might try airships next !! :)

Look on the back. Your CFI certificate tells you when it expires.
