Got a request for any jump/photo-inclined guys here on flightinfo...

I'm trying to find a decent photo of the cessna wind deflector that is installed on the forward edge of the doorframe (using existing hinge points) when a door is removed for jumping/photography. (this would be the one that you'd have if you did not have the nifty top-hinged fold-up door)

I know I've seen them on 180/185s, 182s, and even a 210.. just not recently.

Any help appreciated.

I work with a 207 that has one. PM me with your email address and to remind me to take a pic of it.

I've jumped from a lot of Cessna's, and have modified several aircraft with jump kits, but have never seen or used a deflector on Cessna 182's, 206's, or 208's.

It's not necessary.

What avbug said, with the exception that the Caravan I used to jump from had a deflector, not sure that it worked all that well though... Never seen one on any 182 or 206 though.

A Caravan I used to jump didn't have a blast deflector, but did have grab handles on each side of the door, and a grab rail above it. I flew it a few times, and the only restriction was a speed restriction when the door was open, restricted to 150 knots.
