Does anyone know in general terms what insurance requirements would currently be needed to be PIC in a Cessna 340 or 400 series for a Part 91 job? I have 1200 total, 165 multi (mostly in Beech twins) and about 5 hours in a 402. Am also an MEI if that makes any difference.

Also, what does Flight Safety cost for their 400 series training as I assume that would help the insurance rates.....

Thanks for your help!

why don't you call an aviation insurance

company and ask them?

And while you are at it why dont you look up the the e-mail address of flight safety and send them an e-mail asking what you are asking!

I don't mean to be rude (yes I do) but why would you **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** foot with asking strangers and whatnot a specific question that only an aviation insurance provider could answer, much less what the price of a flight school's factory training cost's or what it's insurance benefits would be.

I would start out with calling the insurance company like FALCON INS...ask them what they would consider for coverage. Make sure you tell them what type of part 91 flying you are doing...IE CORPORATE? The insurance company is going to tell you if a factory school is going to be required for you to fly or if it will be required for lower premiums.

why would they censor the word...

p. u. s. s. y. f. o. o. t. ?

Wright..........Because it's a Sunday, and this is a message board where we all throw around ideas, and this person was merely seeking some friendly advice!
Dont be such a d.i.c.k.

Heston would be embarrased!

hahahaha

how is telling someone not to p. u. s. s. y. f. o. o. t. around and call an insurance company like FALCON INSURANCE DIRECTLY to get the real skinny, being a d. i. c. k.?

Insurance has changed alot in the last year and a half...call the companies that insure 300/400 series cessna's and ask them.

To keep people from wearing open-toe sandals :)

Trying myself to get a 91/135 golden eagle gig, so I'm going through it right now. Insurance company wants at least 2000TT, 300multi, 50hrs in make and model, and no 135 with pax without an ATP.

Hope that gives you an idea.

yabba dabba doo!

If i wanted to be a chotch... I would have proudly proclaimed, that in the world of multi-engine aircraft, her/his paltry amount of hours were going to result in inceasant (correct my spelling if it's wrong, it probably is and you probably will) laughing and a phone being hung up in the manner that tele-marketors get when they call people that hate having their dinners interupted for annoying phone calls, when she/ he tried to get insured in a 340/414. I could have said that...

But I didn't say that...I said call the FALCON INSURANCE company.

If the repeated reference to sunday, has something to do with insurance companies being closed...heck if that's close honey, you aint going flying till monday mid-morning at the earliest anyway. No binder number, no flying. So what's the freaking rush to get information from people that you don't know.
