I know this is off topic, but has anyone tried those Cell Phone Antenna Boosters? I am thinking about getting one, and was wondering if anyone;s had any experience with them,

Thanks,
Brad

My old roomate had one. The cell signal was weak when you were inside where we lived and he got one to try to boost it. It was a piece of garbage, it didn't work at all and I think he just threw it out.

I bought one for .99 cents at a discount store. It was the exact same one they sell on TV for $19.95. It doesn't help one bit. I'd go and get my .99 cents back if I could find the reciept. If you must have one, here is a website that sells them for $8.99:

Don't waste your money on that... I'll sell you some "magic" scotch tape that you wrap around your phone and your signal strength will triple.

Ask yourself this...

If this device was such a "Technological Wonder" why doesn't some Cell Phone Manufacture buy the rights to this device and install it in all of their phones to give them a superior product?

Remember "Occam's Razor" which states: "All things being equal, generally the simplest solution tends to be the best solution"

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...

I used to work at a cell phone shop, depending on the look of the customer I would sell them at varying prices. It took all of my power to keep from laughing as I gave my sales pitch. We bought them for .35 cents and sold them up to $25. What a joke, if they worked I would have one in my phone. I got so low as to put one in and then show them "look I have one, of course they work!"

I believe with the old analog phones you could put that ball thing on top of it and it would work, but with the new Digital phones, theres not much one can do.
