Anyone have experience here with additional soundproofing efforts on a Citation III or a VII ? We operate a VII and the thing is really noisy. Coming out of a Citation V I would have thought the VII would be a much more sound and well constructed plane ?????? The later units came with a secondary door seal however we seem to be getting noise from skin screech and the fan. At 200kts and above. The extendable landing lights are also very noisy, so much that we don't use them above 200kts.

I used to fly VII's with soundproofing and without and I couldn't tell much difference. I flew a II the other day and was surprised at how quite it was. I guess with the slow speed of the II it doesn't produce much wind noise. The VII is a decent plane, but it does have its share of maint. issues.
