I have gone and searched the threads and have studied them. My last option is this, would someone mind PM me that is an actual crewmemeber there give me their honest life story for there. I'm interested in a change!!
There seem to be many different steps to attain just a simple seat and position change. What is the very first step through the last step? VERY much APPRECIATED.

Bjammin works for CX and is a great guy. Try PM'ing him. Good luck!

pprune has tons of info on CX. You just have to sort out the good info from the usual malcontent spewings! Go to fragrant harbour forum. Good luck!

From what I've seen/read on pprune (fragrant harbour stuff), I don't think it is any more negative than anything here, on f-info.

Most of your CX questions you can answer on pprune.

Good luck.

Much thanks. Send more if you can

Thanks For Not Disregarding Another "need Some Anwsers About Someone" Post. Thanks For The Replies And Good Luck. Im Still Looking And Gathering To Those Who Still Post.

I've heard many good things about Cathay with the exception of their training department. Not sure how true this is but was told they have many Brits with nazi mentality running the show. He said training is a totally miserable experience there. Even if you continuously work your behind off, study very hard and pass all check rides, you’ll still fear your next training event. He believes they’re trying to show how inferior the flight training in the US is versus the UK. Might be totally wrong but this info is from a guy who quit CP fairly recently (after 4+ years) for one of the US cargo outfits. Has anyone else heard similar stories?

Yes. I heard there was a 50% bust rate on th 747-400 upgrade, but a 100% pass rae on the A340.

Went through that at ACA. Not a pleasant experience.

Worse then the above pass rates for sure. It's a VERY tough upgrade experience. I plan on just staying an FO for the next 6 to 7 years then try my hand at it.

The training department is truly what you make of it. I'm used to kissing butt in the military so the switch over wasn't very tough for me, but guys from US airlines have a much harder time adapting. Right or wrong, it is what it is. Some guys are leaving to go back with United, American, etc. And some guys are leaving to go with FedEx and UPS as new hires.

As I said before, they need to expand and with all the oppertunities with other airlines in the states they need to change their ways or else they are going to end up with a whole bunch of airplanes with no one to fly them.

No matter what anyone else says it WILL happen and even if it doesn't, it's still a great place to be, at least for me.

I have a buddy there on the Bus. He recently told me that group of senior FO`s (an airline that has SO`s, junior FO`s, FO`s and seinor FO`s has issues in my opinion!) went for upgrade. Apparently they have a Command assesment, you interview when your time comes and everything you ever did since joining is reviewed. If you jacked up a V1 cut in initial training it will still be a major issue and you may not be invited into the club! In that group he said no one was allowed to become a commander! Secondhand info with beer involved I must add!

So not being a union company and you bust upgrade. Are you, A fired, or B riding in the right seat the rest of your career?
