Probably because they are hiring alot of ex Oasis pilots ahead of people already waiting in line for course dates. They will apparently require shorter training courses since they all already have HKATPL licences. Some of them are even going to be street captains....happy day.

The answer I got was "we're not hiring pilots for N. American bases because we are currently revising the training program for N. American bases"; whatever that means.

Any news on CX interviews in US? I had my canceled on the short notice and was told to “stand by” for the update. How many Oasis guys got hired so far? Do they have to go through interview process or just welcome on board/back? Its sort of funny how you want the job even more when they take that chance to interview away form you…

Hiring is using the term "delaying interviews" as they have so many Oasis and Dragon Air pilots plus the regular size pool. You'll still interview, but it will be awhile.

Do you know what will happened with JFK and how or when it will grow. If CX open pax base in JFK (assuming on 777ER) can cargo FO move over from 747F ?

Also I am looking at the app and wondering if I should apply for a SO pos as well as a FO pos. Any thoughts?
