Anyone ever hear of shankless shoes??

The people at Payless haven't. Ever try to buy "airport shoes" at a place like that? Frustrating at best, when you ask if the shoes have a metal shank, the chick or dude working there looks at you like you're from outer space.

When the price of tickets get low enough that any dirtball can buy one from time to time, guess what......you get a lot of them.

Since nobody dresses up or looks professional when they come to my office anymore, I always return the favor when I go to theirs.

I have decided that cruising the airport in the summer is in fact better than hotel porn. It's free, and it's live.

I remember....when I was growing up. My mom was a flight attendant for AA and my dad was a pilot for AA.

I non reved a lot with my parents. And I ALWAYS had to dress up to the hilt even when I was 8. Just in case I could not get non rev in coach I had to meet the first class dress requirements.
Just 15 years ago flying for Pan Am we had to wear a Jacket to non-rev in economy and Jacket and tie for First Class. You were normally the best dressed on the flight.

Americans have simplified the way they dress, period.

60 years ago everyone wore nice clothes everywhere, including around the house. Just watch "Leave it to Beaver" one time and you can see that.

Yeah right "Leave it to Beaver" portrayed real life in the wholesome 50's, uh huh:rolleyes:

(sorry for the sarcasm, couldn't resist:))

I fail to see what all the hoopla is about. My ass would be in shorts and comfortable shoes if I had the opportunity.

why is flying supposed to be so much more regal? I personally find it a little pretentious. I understand that back in the day, flying was a rich persons luxury, but it clearly isn't the case today.

As long as the person sitting next to me has showered, and doesn't reek of BO, I don't give a damm how they are dressed.

Just don't try to squeeze the weasel in the terminal, please!
