Do 328 Conversion

Does anyone have any info on a cargo version of a Dornier 328 turbo-prob or jet? Thanks.

I don't believe one has been converted...yet. Probably only a matter of time. There is even a cargo conversion for the CRJ now.

From the mechanics that used to work on them for us, there are two major problems from the get go.

1) The floor would not be strong enough to handle the load distribution of pallets, I believe it is a composite or honey comb style.

2) The height of the floor might have to be elevated slightly to accomodate pallets.

The others include; putting the cargo door on. The MX reliablility as well as the part/tech support leaves much to be desired.
