M-Dogg,
I made the jump a few years back from a 121 carrier (ERJ CA) to the corporate side (fortune 150 company). I personally dont think that familiairity with a certain type will be the deciding factor. Most well established corp operators are looking for someone who can fit in with their corporate culture, has a strong desire to learn and grow within the organization and will repesent the flight department well to the executives.
The training and standardization you received at AWAC,regardless of aircraft type, is what will standout. The CRJ is probably a little closer to the CL604 than to the CL601 we operate. Either way the CRM skills, glass cockpit and FMS experience is what I would look for in a candidate for our department.
Once again this is just my opinion, for me it has been a great move, I'm a much happier person, the pay is better, and my family is much happier.
PM me if you have any questons.
Good luck with your choice and remember, get out there and network!!!!
