If we can apply racing car technology to airplane brakes, the following would make sense: Carbon: -Lighter by far than metal brakes. -Much faster heat dissipation. -Stronger braking with less fade. Metal: -Much, much cheaper. -Might work better when wet. -Can't think of any other advantages!
