Report says landed in a field due to engine issues. This is the original engine used in the EX-3 - aerosport, before switching to Lycoming.

Edit: This is a 2022 EX-3 with serial number 92? Makes no sense. Also, I think only the first 50 E/FX-3's got the aerosport engine and this is production number 92. Not sure the info on the various info I looked at are correct.

CCK-2000, kit built, we are a CCX-2000, earlier kit EX3??

Excellent catch. Edited/updated my mistakes.

Over the course of the last few years I've become increasingly in awe of someone who builds a plane in their garage or hangar. I definitely do not have the patience, focus or stick-to-itness to do that. Even though we've had a few back and fourth with Cubcrafters, the issues have largely been due to the parts suppliers. Outside of some wiring harness connections (that would have been the same if we assembled a kit). It sure has been better doing the factory assembled route. I have a friend with a Cirrus - what a maintenance nightmare, it pales in contrast to some of the issues us Cubcrafters people have had. Now if only the weather would clear here, I would really like to go flying!

I’ll be following this one closely given mines a 2020 and SN 0095.

I just had a conversation with a few friends earlier this week. One of whom is an engineer at Cirrus. The number of squawks on newly produced AC is disturbing. Same with a friend who’s Stearman which had a complete restoration.
