I’m wondering if anyone has ever had the experience of a Captain deliberately cheating a First Officer (FO) of actual instrument time. For example, the FO actually flew an hour in actual conditions, but the Captain only documented half of that time in the aircraft daily records, and this was not just a one-time occurrence, but a daily occurrence.

If this happened to you, how would you react? What would you think of the Captain?

Thanks, blue skies….

No fcuking wonder they only pay you guys $18k per year.

I got cheated out of .2 of "Hot Chick Scoping" time because my FO wouldn't get out of the doorway during the deplaning process. Can I get that back?

If my FO confronted me about "stealing his IFR" time. I would sit back...ponder for a minute, look serious, shrivle my forehead, and then LAUGH AS HARD AS I EVER HAVE in his face. Then I'd ask him if he has a fever, and needs to go home. Then I would call Camielle and yell at her for hiring such a freakin' tool!!!!!

Skybum,

what in the heck are you talking about?????

sometimes this place is like sitting at the kiddy table durring thanksgiving dinner

......LOL

I think I was robbed of .115 of time at home with my family for reading all of the way thru!

What company makes the captain keep track of instrument time? I've only heard of airlines keeping track of flight time, block time and landings. Everything else, I log on my own. I've flown with guys who log more instrument time than I do and who log less (by .1 or so). I've never heard of this, especially not an airline that has guys that have been on the seniority list for 30 years.

Dude, just log something, anything! I fly at night only, and I log 10% on every flight. Some nights its clear, some are in the clouds all the way, but it works out to be about right. I log 10% mainly because I catch up my logbook about once every month or so, and can't remember the exact numbers. As was stated earlier, these numbers don't mean much.

BTW, I'll give ya some night time if ya really want it! How bout some turbine time?

That has got to be the most stupid comment I have ever seen pilot make. Even beats using lame "I'm a pilot" lines in a bar while trying to pick up chicks.

Stealing IFR time??!!! Bum, you have just been elevated to the position of Chief Goober.

How often do you really spend bombing around in a jet and in the soup?

Depends....can I count the time that my head is in a haze, but the airplane is not? :D

oh man.....this threads almost as funny as the websites in the Am I being safe enough? (funny) thread

or maybe i'm just getting punchy today...need some time away me thinks...vacations not for a few months though :(

so i'm torn, between the grand waste this thread has been, and the laughs i've garnered from it, and the sadness of my actually having posted a response....

well i reckon its better than worrying about what some dude next to me is logging for time....

Your sadness?? Hey man I posted twice on this silly thread...............oh wait...now its three times DOH!!!!!!!!

TopGunMav- Why don't you just correct the aircraft log to whatever it is you want it to say?
...since you're the 'co-captain'!

I just want Topgun Mav to post some more so we can have another 5 pages added to this thread.
