CAP hawaii glider training alumni ?

anyone learn to fly gliders and cessnas at the hawaii CAP summer camps in the early 1980's ?

(if you're curious, the state of hawaii used to sponsor a summer glider/cessna 2 week camp as a present to CAP for doing search and rescue in hawaii. the two week experience reminded me of the tv show 'fantasy island' ("de plane! de plane!")
