Worried about spotting those MiGs in time? :D

I doubt if any company sells them apart from the military suppliers. Maybe contact some aircraft boneyards that have military stock and see if you can buy a used set.

You know putting them on will involve a 337 approval, right? Does the L39 canopy bow provide rollover protection? Drilling it might not be allowed.

To tell ya the truth i was looking for my boss, we have a few customers looking for them to be installed on there planes...he showed me what he was looking for and i looked it up in every way shape and form on every search function i could find. I posted on here to see if anyone could help out. Im pretty sure they arent going to have to drill into the canopy to get them up. It looked like it had a clamp on the back of the mirror that would latch to the inside of the canopy.

BTW: The mig wouldnt recognize an L39 till after he passed us...haha.

Did you talk to Pride Aircraft?

They have TONS of L-39 parts

Actually thats where i work, thanks for the help though.

jbDC9- Thanks for the help, thats actually a good idea, one of out customers has that on his plane, its seems to work just fine. However the boss man wants the "real" ones if ya know what i mean. Ill run the idea by him but i know hes not gonna bit. Ill just have to call boneyard or something if i can find a # for a place like that..haha.

I went to auto zone and found a pair of mirrors that work great. I think they were originally stick on but they have a lip big enough on the back for you to drill holes into. You can then attach them to the screws that run along the edge of your canopy. Works great on our L29. They have a noce convex design that really improves the visibility to the back. PM me if you want me to take any pics.
