I live out here in KPSP and for the past Month we have had the pleasure of a Canadian P-3 coming into the airport. Now I read some where that the Canadian Military doesn't have 2 nickles to rub when it comes to defense spending and that over half there Navy is tied up at port. So my question if the Candians dont want to spend any money on the Military why are they wasting assets and flight time flying a few lucky sperms down to PSP during the winter season? Does this seem right?

I'm not saying that the military doesnt deserve to come to PSP for sun and R&R but when a country can barely keep 80 CF-18 operational and has a miliitary smaller then the NYPD it doesn't make sense. I expect more from our friends to the north when it comes to taking care of there military and it's a far cry from what it was after Desert Storm 1.

Back in the Day we had some good times at Primrose Weapons Range- Cold Lake. Its a shame they let it slide down hill so bad, that was a fun det. (lots of fishing and drinking). The canucks allways treated us great up there.

Maybe it is becaus gas is cheaper down here, so they are probably coming down here to save money. In Canada gas is still well over $3.00/gal after converting liters to gallons and taking the US/Canada exchange rate. Only kidding.

They're defectors.

The plane is in the CIA's hands now and soon we will know all of the sophisticated technology that goes into that machine.

Oh wait... nevermind.

ummm... Think about it... It's the middle of Jan, and PSP is prolly a nice 80-85F, and Moose Jaw is prolly 15-20F.

Back a few years ago, the canadians were ALWAYS down in CA somewhere, with their t-birds, providing EW for the navy outta Leemore.

Nellis is hosting their Air Force Games (Red Flag?) about this time of year and PSP is a great launching spot for the big military playground that is California and Nevada.
