Anyone know about crossing into Canada and back by car in terms of bringing presents and pets for christmas?

Got a trunkload of loot and a rabbit that want to join us for the trip from Buffalo to Toronto.

Thanks in advance.

Not that this would ever affect a professional airline pilot, but I do seem to recall someone telling me that if you cop to having a DUI on your driving record, your U.S. license is no good in Canada. You won't be legal to drive there, and I suspect you'd be a WHOLE lot o' trouble if you got in a wreck.

You aren't even allowed IN. Period. You are considered a convicted felon. You lie? You in big trouble- you just "smuggled" yourself in. Very strange, eh?

They are super strict/retarded when it comes to that. We had a FA who they wouldnt let in(almost made them sleep on the airplane) because of excessive speeding tickets, I think like 5 in a 3 year period or something like that. I know people who have 5 in a year. There excuse/reasoning is, you dont do it right in America.

P.S. canada, if you dont agree with me, dont let me in, I really dont care
(canada is in lower case on purpose)
P.S.S. AMERICA ******************** YEA. That is all

Thier country, their rules. If you don't like it, don't go.
Now if only we would use the same common sense around here.

sooo...anybody got anything remotely dealing with the original question:)

Shouldn't be too rough. They'll ask you what you have and will declare that you have christmas gifts. They'll probably ask you the value of the gifts and if they're not in a Christmas mood, search everything and make you pay tax. Canadians love tax.

Enjoy your stay in our city. Where are you staying?

somewhere btw Pearson Apt. and city centre. wish i knew more.

Know anything about pets?...little sister has a rabbit she wants to bring to show the family.

Pets are a problem. Need rabies certificates and possibly statements of health or similar from a vet. You might get into canada without this stuff but rabbit will become a canadian by default when US side refuses to take him back across the border a couple of days later without the rabies, etc. certificates.

Almost got our dog quaranteened many years ago from this scenario.
