You went to MAPD, like a turd in a punchbowl you'll float right to the top as a checkairmen or chief pilot at Mesa. You should focus on staying there.

Well aren't you clever. I see from your avatar you took a photo of one of our planes at night. Probably safer for you that way. Because if you ever said to one of us what you cowardly just posted you'd probably need to replace some front teeth.

Yes I went to MAPD and am proud to have gone there! When I went there it was hard to get in to and only about half that started were able to finish. It is the airline that is bad not the school.

I and every one who I know that works at MESA/Freedom want to leave- and as everyone knows we're leaving in droves. The people who were responsible for the last contract are basically all long gone. We also work for a management team that....Well... its known about who we work for and the conditions we work under.

If you think there is a lot that can be done between contracts your wrong. But what can be done is being done and people are getting out as quickly as possible. I hope either JO is fired or the place burns. The place burning is more probable.

Actually, I'm quite peaceful. I just call 'em as I see 'em.

My advice is, get as much info there as possible. Your best bet is to unass Mesa before it unasses itself. A jetway isn't going to save Mesa.

You hitched your horse to that pathetic cart and you'd be smart to unhitch it fast. IMO, Mesa is a menace to professional aviators worldwide and is the quintessential "sweatshop" and thankfully I can walk through a terminal without the knowledge my uniform ties my to a corrupt CEO, pornobator CFO and clueless BOD.

For now, hold your head high.............er, scratch that.

Your better off staying low and scurrying along the baseboards.

Good luck.

Now its your turn.
People go to different airlines for different reasons. Four years ago when I got hired no one else was really hiring, except CHQ and some Sky West. Mesa had quick upgrades and growth. Most young people use a regional as a stepping stone to the major level. That is what the vast majority of people at Mesa do. Come in get your thousand and leave-generally takes three-four years.

Others go to the GOOD Regionals like Eagle or Comair etc... But you have to wait a long time to make Captain because there is little movement due to it being, you guessed it......a Good Regional. Not a very good plan if your trying to move on as quickly as possible.

Now, people can get the quick upgrade at other regionals who are not as good as Eagle or Comair but no where near as bad as Mesa. And this is why were loosing so many of our FO's. I have personally talked somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-5 FO's into leaving for Republic. Simply put there is no reason to suffer as I and others have for 4-5 years when you can get the same upgrade on better equipment (170) and be treated better, more days off etc.

People at Mesa understand that we owe the next group of pilots better than we had it. This will be done on the next contract. Although our management will ride this contract out for more years the people who are here then will make it right. Of this I'm sure.

I flew that airplane after those 'tards fixed their spelling error. It almost made it to JFK before anyone caught the mistake. I believe that photo captures the essence of Freedom/Mesa operations.

I was not too impressed at all with your fellow alumni that ran the training department. Their knowledge and background was extremely limited. Their knowledge was too often incorrect and quite shallow.

I flew with products of MAPD, I will admit that there were a few good sticks that had good attitudes. Too bad that program feeds a bottom feeder.

Join LAMA, trust me, it's great!

Excellent. You appeared to be defending the evil empire. The place needs to get shutdown for the passenger's sake as well as the industry's. Good Luck with the LAMA thing...

Dude, please dont say that! Mesa has a bad enough rep as it is, they dont need other pilots thinking Mesa is all MAPDers! There are plenty of pilots at Mesa who did not buy their job and obtained real experience!

I did not buy my job. I went to a company owned training academy. Based largely on how the military runs its flight schools. From 0-line pilot. The training is very challenging and fast paced-not everyone can handle it. I'm in no way embarrassed about my training in fact exactly the opposite. I'm not going to single out programs as examples but there are programs that are definitely paid for jobs. In fact with MAPD its a pretty big risk going there. Only about half finish and of the ones that do about 80 ish% get hired. Thats pretty high but not certainly not guaranteed.

Are you just another one of the stone throwing children on the commuter board? Hiding behind the anonymity of this forum so you can say things you'd be to scared to say to someones face? Do you enjoy disrespecting other people of your profession for the sport of it? I'd like to stop having to return to this ridiculous thread- but every time I open up my email another child in need of a written spanking has appeared.

Look at the things people have posted about my pilot group. BJ's to the CEO with the end result. Jeez dude! Grow up. It's already embarrassing enough to be an express pilot. Don't make it worse by showing the world that our professionalism is the same size as our planes.
