Schwanker,

Don't know what airplane you are on but it is not the "OLD GUYS" it is a handful of "NINJA CAPTs" that are causing all the trouble. These are the guys that due to the Robert's award were protected via fences from the more senior greenbook guys. The old red/green guys don't give a ******************** because even with a flat rate for everyone it will not matter to them. However it is the late 40 early 50 year old mostly former redbook who has been flying way out of seniority due to their "career expectations" are not happy with the fact they were wide body capts in their early to mid 40s but enough isn't enough. Just pure greed. We saved their pension and now they want to steal ours.

You're right. I should have said senior guys!

As much as I hate to say it, the NW pilots have only themselves to blame. NOBODY FORCED THEM TO FLY UNDER THEIR CURRENT CONCESSIONARY CONTRACT... THEY VOTED IT IN. Again, they democratically VOTED for their contract.

The only reason why DAL and NW filed CH11 in 2005, and why nobody has filed since, was because congress changed the laws to prevent excessive exec compensation awards using the bancprutcy process. Both airline managements filed 1 day prior to the law change. ALPA has never brought this up in the media, NWALPA and DALALPA hasn't bothered to rally the troops around this fact either. The CH11 filing timing was done to compenate these execs, yet the pilots bought off on the notion that they needed to vote in a joke of a contract to "save" the airline.

With that fact in management's pocket, you really expect them to care? Even the judge can say he didn't force the contract on the pilots.... they fkng voted for it???

It just goes to show you how stupid pilots can be. Flying a big boeing over polar routes and the Atlantic does not give you a ticket to the smart party.

Let the rest of the pilots in this industry be warned, this can and will happen to you if you give in to the threats and pressures of management and the courts.

I feel really bad for the NW pilots who were smart enough to vote no and still have to fly under their POS contract. That said, as divisive as it may be to unity, I would parade all the yes voters around a proverbial town square so that they could be exposed for their selfish and short-sighted approach to the vote.

How convenient that the furloughees were not allowed to vote on the contract. The 700 furloughee votes could have made things much more interesting.....

Sure...NWA has converted its 175's at Compass to the 175ER. They can serve any city pair in the US no problem, even coast to coast.

Funny...NWA's POS looks a lot like our special TA at Tranny...Hmmmmmm... Thanks for keeping that ALPA bar way up high for us poor little NPA guys..appreciate that. Gives us something lofty to shoot for.

We will be taxiing very slow as well...And by the way ..all Redtail guys are welcome on the JS at Tranny..no fee of course ! We only take 25 bucks from the non union JB guys.... Hey Starvinredtail how's things ?
