Can I see Oshkosh in a day? I don't think I'll be able to find a hotel this late, but would love to go. I'd probably have to drive from MKE or Appleton. Can probably on get 2 days off (one for travel).

The drive from MKE is only a couple of hours. Keep in mind they close the flight line during the airshow in the afternoon so you will only have morning and late evening to walk the flight line and exhibits.

I think one day is enough Oshkosh for most people unless you are a serious homebuilder geek

"Can you see Oshkosh in one day?"

Short answer- No.

Take it from a person who lives 6nm north of OSH. Also, don't forget to visit the Vette Seaplane Base. It's what Oshkosh used to be back in the day.

No, you can't see it all in a day, heck you can't see it all in a week :)

How about you go to the local WalMart, get a tent and really SEE the big 'O' as it should be seen. I really wish that I was able to camp under my RV-6A's wing in the 'South 40' this year. Oh well. there's always next year.
