Sure, lots of people go there. Just not in airplanes.
 
i have a hard time believing that was ever transmitted. The LAWRS reportable value says after 15nm in 5 mile increments however ASOS editing vis maxes out at 10sm. So I don't think you can transmit electronically a metar that would exceed 10sm. We have tried to go above 10 on ours here and it wont take anything above 10.
