What does everybody use to call home? My cellphone wont work in Mexico. We have multiple trips to Mexico and beyond coming up. Do you just grab the ones on the counter at 7-11 or what?

I used to use the "telmex" prepaid cards, but I only ever used pay phones with those. I don't really know about regular phones except that if your company is going a lot we had a mexican "800" number that rang the phone in our office back home.

I use an MCI calling card I bought at Costco. This card has always worked when I can figure out how to dial out of the darn hotel. Some hotels I have dialed just as the dialing instructions supplied by the hotel instruct, and more often than not it doesn't work. This has nothing to do with the MCI card as I never even get to the point of using it.
