It's started with a single button known as "The" button. Once you're lucky enough to get into the hornet's nest, get yourself comfortable. Expose The button by separating the button covers (two of them). The button doubles as a primer, so wiggle it back and forth a little first. Next push the button over and over again until the jet comes alive (softly, not too rough). You'll know you're finished when b!tchin' betty stops talking.

Next time we'll discuss calling the ball.

That pretty much sums up my sexual technique, too. Nice job.

LegacyDriver,
Change the fighter in your book to the ultimate air-to-air killing machine and I'll help you out.

Hey AdlerDriver,

I didn't see the Viper listed in your profile.................:p

I'm sorry but I obviously can't leave this alone.

Hmmmmm, Viper ... Viper .....Vip ohhh Yes, you must be referring to the F-16 Fighting Falcon. The guys flying that didn't like their aircraft being named after a second-rate college football team from Colorado so they thought up something really cool. To everyone else in the AF that's in the know, it's still the Fighting Falcon.

I know your post was made as a joke and I did laugh. You, I and everyone else know there is only one modern, proven air-to-air killing machine. Current record is 104 to zero in air-to-air kills. Responsible for 36 of the 39 kills in Desert Storm (and just for the record, 2 of the others were by another quite capable twin-engine McDonnel Douglas product).

So.... what was your point again? ;)

Little brothers always want to be like big brother.

F-16s are cute - you gotta give them that.

I can vouch (not that that means much :) ) for Legacy and the novel he is writing.

Hey LD, when are you gonna swing thru SFO for that beer?

I dunno!! Boss hasn't made me fly much lately! :)

GSDL and the rest, thanks for the help.

A Viper would work also, but my killing machine is fictional. Don't laugh please. It could pay more than I am making now. :)

Do any fighters actually have guarded three position start stop selectors like airliners or corporate jets do? I guess my main concern is trying to figure out the protection for an inadvertent shutdown. That's harder to do with a knob you have to pull OUT as opposed to a toggle.

If you care to share how the Viper or Eagle do it that would work great also. This thing is actually closer in SIZE to an F-16...

This link provides a little more background on name for the F-16. It was actually knows as the Viper by the guys "in the know" before the name Fighting Falcon was chosen.

It is a solid record like this that makes the Eagle one of my favorite support aircraft along with with the Stratotanker, AWACS and RivetJoint. Without Eagles killing bad guys one at a time, the Vipers would have to take a couple AMRAAM shots on their way to work.

Seriously though, the Eagle is a fantastic fighter.

Exactly. I'll support the iron movers all day long. Air to ground mission commander looks like way too much work. Can't win a war killing the enemy one at a time at 20,000 feet.
