AWA called this past Sat. (was quite surprised to be called on a Sat.) and left a message to call back to schedule an interview. Can anyone recommend a place to go to get the sim prep as well as the interview prep? Much appreciation on any input.

Thanks

Swann

A class just started on Oct 27 with around 30 people.

There should be another class around Thanksgiving with 30 new hires. The word is that there are plans for a class of 30 or so sometime in December and more hiring after that...100-150 or more troughout 2004.

Then again this could just be rumors.

CONGRATULATIONS!

THUMBS UP FOR K&S! I did my type rating with them in July/August - FIRST CLASS school. They have the sim-prep programs for other airlines besides Southwest.

It was not senority based. The people with aircraft specific experience were given those aircraft i.e the guys with 737 experience went to the 737 and so fourth.

I'm not sure what criteria AWA used to assign aircraft to the other new hires.

This is straight from the Recruitment, Staffing and Selection folks:

They look at the "needs of the Company" and then try to satisfy the choices of the candidates based on previous experience. They sincerely want to know the applicants' preferences and try to satisfy them if able.
