Ummmm, if you can do those aplitude tests in your head you should be teching at MIT, not flying a regional. I dont know about the huge memory calculators like the TI.
unless things have seriously changed in the past 3-4 years, I don't recall anything that would REQUIRE a calculator. (aviation or otherwise) They may ask a simple descent point based on distance/gs, but the answer wouldn't require a calculator....now that the airplane figures it all out, I'd be up S. Creek if I had to do it for real
I have heard that skywest has a pretty difficult aplitude test. Most everyone I know only passed with the gauge. Physics, Algebra, etc. Of course I have never taken it so I may be wrong.
