CAL To End EWR-PSE

It appears that JBLU has been kicking the stew out of CAL in the New York to Ponce, Puerto Rico market enough to the point we are ending the service.


CO to discontinue service to Ponce, Puerto Rico
CO will discontinue service to and from Ponce, Puerto Rico (PSE), effective Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, because there wasn’t enough demand to sustain the service, and the route didn’t produce the expected financial results. CO will continue looking for opportunities to serve the market and thanks customers for their support during the time the airline served the destination.

Cargo guys/gals have been doing this type of flying for years, don't fly it or go back to the regionals and do those all so safe stand ups.

I guess you guys haven't been reading up on the news lately. The latest push is to make Puerto Rico our 51st state, no kidding! At least the murder capital will move to San Juan when that happens and they'll be putting American Flag decals on their cars instead of Puerto Rican ones, heheh...

Good news for the junior folks at CO I would imagine. Man I really hate that airport.
