I know that there are no hard and fast rules, but can anyone give a ballpark answer on a F.O.'s progression at CAL? Generally, how many years does it take to move up in aircraft from SN (737-300/500/700) to LN (757, 737-800/900) to Wide?

right now they are hiring mostly onto the 737. They are also hiring directly onto the 757/767. If you get hired onto the 737, you will be able to bid off of it almost immediatly onto the 757/767 if you so choose. 777 takes a bit longer, 1 to 2 years.

R2P,

We'll talk about this on Monday night...you pay for the beers though, k? On another note, I think we have one of your former squadron buddies in my new hire class this week.

Are you talking EWR, IAH or both?

The there was a class in april or the end of march that a few were awarded 756. Mostly everyone 737. Bases mixed EWR (mostly), but IAH awarded as well.

There was fo that was able to hold 777 fo after 1 year. They were just talking about that in the school house the other day.

4/25/06 class is 12 737 EWR.

Class breakdown is:

USAF/AFRES
USN
USN/USMC
USN/Customs
XJT
Corporate/XJT
Trans States
ASA
ASA
Airtran
Mesa
AWAC/Corporate
