Hiring is now forecast to continue at 16 a week until April 08. We just installed the new 737-800 sim and have ordered a 787 sim and 787 FTD. The flexible fleet plan is constantly changing but as of JUL 07, we have 368 aircraft. The plan by JUL 08 is for 378 aircraft which means with 33 new 737's, we have 23 737 exiting. 15 of those are the 737-500's to Transaero airlines with the option to sell 5 more to another airline. The rest are 737-300's that will not get winglets.

That is great info. Thank you. Do you happen to know the age breakdown of any of the classes?

Regional Regional Regional ..................AHHH Life must be better

I noticed that to. Is like CAL becoming a lateral move out of the regionals?

Nobody is leaving Delta or United (or JetBlue) for CAL like they are for UPS or Southwest?

Maybe if they paid insurance...Just a thought!

And some free advice:-) LOL

"Oh for gosh sakes" POCO your logic is off. No one is leaving DL for UA, no one is leaving AA for NWA, etc., either.

In EWR I've talked to at least 3 ex-jblu's, plus sep. shows two more new people from there.

I agree, paying insurance the first six months sould be the norm, that is a disapointment.

I hope I can meet your expectations when they move me back to F/O at UA. Hey, if I do a good job for you, can you blow me? LOL !

Pocono. Hopefully you are not as stupid as you come accross in your posts. If you look closely at the class breakdowns there are in fact pilots leaving JetBlue, Airtran, and Gemini for CAL. There are many at CAL who were at NWA, AA, USAIR, UAL and other real airlines who have been recalled and will NOT be going back. We have over 12,000 qualified applications on file and no problem filling classes. As many have stated here in the past, I am glad that our interview process works and that you were REJECTED!

FYI, other than through the military, new hire pilots have traditionally come throught the regional / commuter ranks. There is nothing new about new hires comming from the regionals. Its a great training ground and groundschool is a breeze!

Maybe one day Pocono will leave the ranks of the cadets. Unfortunately with his 2 failures during initial upgrade, he will be stuck at XJT for a long time. 7 of my friends recently interviewed at United. None of them had any internal reccomendations. Pocono, how pathetic must you be if you can't even get an interview at United with "friends pulling strings for you"? Remember, imaginary friends don't count. Oh, and that PM you sent me about letting pets lick peanut butter off you...damm man, that's sick! ROTFLMAO!

The only strings that Pocono pulls are once a month. Probably the same times she gets on here so bitter and emotional.

Hello,
And one of those newhire SKYW guys is hellonewman. He is a real gem, review his past posts , about decertifying ALPA once he gets off of probation. Do you really want this turd in your punchbowl? Talk to your LCAs, CAPTs and anyone who will listen. Get rid of him while you can!
