They're penciled in on the CAL recall list, training dates to be determined. More openings at Express.

First...Congratulations to all who advanced up the career ladder. Now for the cynicism......something that happens the way it's supposed to is "news".

Now we are talking. Great News! On another note...I heard that Express will be raising their hiring minimums from 600TT/100Multi to 1200/200. Can anyone verify that?

2007 hiring boom, another sign here it comes

Good news for all at CAL/COEX. You all have held your own in the last few years. Well, better than most. Good luck going forward as well.

Oh boy! Can't wait! ......You've been around long enough to know these "hiring booms" are just job shuffling in the industry. What we should be interested in is how many new career jobs that pay above the poverty level are created. Hiring for attrition or pilots changing jobs are not newly created jobs as the people that sell pilot job info to chumps implies.

There is going to be another hiring window. Probably between 2007 and 2010. With the number of retirements and the forecasted growth of domestic and international flying between now and 2015, there is no other alternative. Flying is now mass transit, just like cars. As painful as it is for us pilots, that is what our industry has become. Until they find some way to beam us from one point to another, these trends will continue. Just my $.02.
