Trying to figure out 'truth' to merger rumors is like trying to figure out which bathroom Pocono goes in. There is no point in guessing and you will probably be surprised to find out the 'truth'. That said, there are a couple good articles today about Kirby's jones for intl gates. I really hope this rumor is not true down the road.
 
There was a time years ago when CAL and AWA was just about a done deal, back when they had a code share with each other. CAL wanted their west coast presence back. Then CAL looked at the yeilds and because SWA has always been AWA's biggest problem which keeps yeilds low out of PHX, that kept CAL at bay. To bad, that would've been great compared to the nightmare were going through now. :(

It's obvious to me you continue to post information from CAL Forums. A CAL XJET forum restricted to our pilots. That is always his source.

Pocono pilot is a male pilot for EXJET that most hate flying along side. He has been turned down by CAL and has the majority level of a 13 year old. He writes many derogatory comments about CAL because he is extremely jealous and bitter CAL turned him down. ALL I CAN SAY IS I AM GLAD OUR PILOT RECRUITMENT DEPARTMENT MADE AN OUTSTANDING DECISION IN THIS INSTANCE. Yes it feels terrible to get turned down by any company. But based on his numerous negative statements Pocono's true self has been exposed and I am very glad I don't have to sit next to him ever.

Don't listen to anything he says as he has little if anything positive to contribute on this forum if you just ignore him he will go away.

You're right. I hate having 18 off flying three times a month. All those first class meals are going to make me gain weight too. The worst part is that on second year pay, I'm at the same hourly rate as an XJet 8 year E145 captain. :nuts: This fall, that rate will surpass a 13 yr XJet E145 Capt. Think of the taxes I'll have to pay! Hey Pocono, pass the joint please.:laugh:

This is my last post to you. You have posted on this site information that was put on CAL FORUMS site in a very short period. You have also posted specific information from the CALFOURMS site that was deleted shortly after it was put onto CAL FORUMS proving my point.

I am friends with the owner of CAL FORUMS and if I really wanted to I could probably figure out who you are by researching that deleted post (only on line for a short time and on CAL FORUMS you have to use your real name and not handles) and research everyone who viewed the thread. I don't have the time and frankly I don't care who you are.

By the way I fly mostly the 757 as I am nowhere senior enough to fly the 767 although yes I am technically current on the aircraft. I could give a sh$t about the size of the aircraft I fly , just the pay and quality of life. I would be very happy flying a 172 for $500 an hour with good quality of life if such a job existed. I have absolutely no ego unlike you who has a severely bruised EGO because you were turned down by CAL. Get over it as it happens to everyone. Luck is the biggest part of getting any aviation job.

Second of all you know absolutely nothing about me. I have left CAL twice to work for other carriers in my twenty years at CAL on Company Offered Leave of Absences. So I could care less if our pilots leave if it is better for themselves and their families. I did so for myself and can certainly understand those who do leave.

From a union stand point it is good we are losing new hires as it will make it alot easier to negotiate better new hire wages and working conditions for those we hire in the future.

Lastly does CAL CONTRACT 02 suck and the way we pay and treat our new hires? Do we have a long way to go in terms of getting a contract that not only pays well but provides the majority of our pilots a good quality of life? You bet it does! I am ready to do whatever it takes including volunteering a significant amount of personal time assisting our union in building the the leverage, unity and pilot resolve required to get a good contract.

My definition of a good contract is a fair and equitable one that adequately represents all of our pilots not just certain factions.

Additionally if XJET pilots are passing up work at CAL for better jobs, I am glad and more power to them. There are better jobs than CAL out there and I am happy if someone at XJET or from anywhere is able to find one of these great jobs.

Lastly, I have helped numerous pilots from this forum with interview advice or advice on CAL training or general CAL info after getting hired either via the internet or the many I have had long phone converstations. I feel I am very lucky to be at CAL in the 30th seniority percentile at age 41. I was very lucky to get hired at CAL mainline at 21 in 1987. What have you done to help your fellow pilots?

I along with everyone else in my seniority bracket are very lucky that the company we went to work for has survived and prospered into a good airline job (notice I didn't say great airline job). The company we went to work for wasn't a good airline. Just shows you how big a crap shoot a career in this whole business has become.

Ten years from now CAL could be the best airline to work for, merged once or twice, the absolute worse airline or out of business altogether. Although unlikely (however stranger things have happened in this business) the same can be said for any company including SWA, UPS or FEDEX.

Now what is your reason for being so juvenile and vindictive to anyone who posts anything positive or any positive information about CAL? Oh yea you were offered a job at CAL and turned it down for something better that you haven't been offered yet NOT!

I am not a Psychiatrist/Physiologist and don't play one on TV, but common sense tells me the following: If you would have turned down CAL like for the reasons you say you would have moved on and not be infatuated to post everything bad about CAL in every thread about CAL. Ninety percent of your posts on this forum are about CAL.

If you felt you made a mistake and wanted to work for CAL you would have called back recruiting said you made a mistake and attempted to get another class date.

If you were turned down by CAL an are immature and extremely bitter you would spend significant amounts of your time spreading rumors and making inflammatory remarks about CAL or those who attempt to work for CAL out of pure childish jealousy.

Your credibility is shot on this forum. Better think of a new way to create a new user name. Or better yet figure out what you did wrong on your CAL interview and how to get another one because we all know you really wish you were hired at CAL in the first place. Grow up an maybe you could get hired here or at a better company.

We need to really ignore this person, it is not worth it.

I really wish the moderators would just pull the plug on this guy. Pocono ruins every CAL thread it is annoying. I honestly would love to see this individual get on with Delta or SWA and maybe then he would go away.

BTW thanks for working on a better CAL, I have flown and worked with some great people there. I look forward to the future at Continental Airlines, I know it will be good.

You have a reputation for hijacking CAL threads and insulting CAL pilots. You have done this more than once. Many on this board have called your bluff but you don't seem to "get it". Heck you don't seem to get a lot of things, including my post.

Any merger is ugly period! Why do you care you turned CAL down it would have mini man if no effect on your personal life? Why do you derive some sick enjoyment on anything that even remotely resembles anything that has the potential to negatively effect your brother and sisters at CAL, and even more close to home many of your former coworkers (XJT) who now work for CAL?

I think you should LOL more. I think after every CAL insult you post you should LOL. Please LOL some more, we really need to know you are LOL.

Seriously, why do you hate CAL so much? Is it because you were denied a pilot position there. You felt you were too good for CAL and then they turned you down? How dare they do that to you.
 
Don't let Pocono represent all of us at XJT. Some of us would actually like to have the opportunity to work for CAL and don't want to be roped in with this guy.
