Cage Consulting?

I am looking into taking an interview prep course. Has anyone taken these? I have been looking into Cage Consulting. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of interview prep places out there - just be careful of the consultant's qualifications...have they ever been in a position to do hiring, and preferably pilots? Do they know what it takes to get hired, or are they simply a pilot who has been (unsuccessfully) through a bunch of interviews and is looking to make a quick buck?

I went to Cage years ago, and while I don't want to slam her or her company, the best advice I received was to "get a new pair of shoes." Just be careful.

I would suggest looking at aviationinterviews.com, reviewing the far's, atp written, etc, but if you are dead set on buying into a service as such then I would suggest contacting Lori Clark. http://flytheline.com/ She did interviews for Mesa Airlines for quite a few years and has the right core of people around her including her husband who was once a captain/check airman at Mesa who also sat on the interview board.

I personally have never used such a service so I can only make a suggestion based on what others have told me and the results that they have been able to obtain.

I went for a prep with Cage last year. I recommend her highly. I know I wouldn't have been hired if I hadn't gone to someone, but how she stacks up against anyone else is impossible to say. I can say I feel I owe my success at my interview to her. It was an eye-opener for me. I would definitely do a prep with someone if you are the least bit concerned about your interview skills. You may only get one shot, these days.

Don't wait too long either, because I feel it's true that you definitely get better with your answers etc the more time you have to perfect them in your head.

Cage consulting was THE place to go if you had a UAL interview. Many of the interview techniques they will help you with would apply anywhere, however. If Cage is convenient for you, I highly recommend them. Its always better to make stupid interview mistakes in front of someone first before the big day!
