I can't believe I just wasted 10 minutes reading this. What a moron!

Ahh yes!! The good ole days at CommutAir. I remember that. Lotsa memories. Im glad thats all they found out about. Empty airplanes (which at that time was very common) was a chance for us to hone our flying skills. You got giddy knowing that your next flight was empty. Nobody had to say anything, you just knew something special was going to happen!

Most of my flying at Commutair was after the USAirways to CO switch so I had my fair share of empty and repo flights. With no passengers to worry about I especially enjoyed the UCA-LGA EAS flights. Fly down, grab a leisurely breakfast, and fly back. I've also heard how fun it was for FO's to fly from the left seat, but I don't have any personal experience with that.

Oh, what a moron... The FO on that (the "watch this" on the radio) was the same guy who, when taxiing to the ramp in BOS, I asked him what gate we were going to. I got no answer, so I look over, and his headset's around his neck and he's on his cellphone talking to his girlfriend!

Nice enough guy, but drove me crazy.

I hear that, Beavis! Jumpseating back on USAirways from our interviews at CHQ he insisted on wedging himself in a seat between two of us rather than sit in the open row behind us. Just a tad annoying. Didn't he miss the last upgrade class as a result of his punishment for the Albany stunt? He ranks right up there with Dilbin Blackspot.

Ha... I remember one guy I flew with (he's here at NJA now) who was running way late for his afternoon show in Utica. Missed a flight or something, so was riding his motorcycle in. He called my cell to let me know what was going on, and that he'd still need to change before we could go.

"Hang on! We're totally empty -- big surprise. Just change on the way to JFK." Worked great; we left and arrived right on schedule, and enjoyed a nice breakfast overlooking the Midwest Express gates. :D

Grrrrr. I think I'd have gotten up and moved a row back. Did he still smell like cigarettes? :puke:

Sure did. It was delayed six months from the incident, which caused him to miss a couple of classes, I believe.

He ranks right up there with Dilbin Blackspot.

I saw him in BTV a couple of years ago in a PSA uniform. I said "hi," and he truly didn't remember who I was. Scaaaaary.... (Also said hi to Howard Dean that same morning. No, I didn't scream at him. Heh.)
