Iam in Atlanta, Ga. I would like to block time from anyone who owne a C172RG in ATL. I would also considera buy 1/4 share of ownership as well. Please responed if interested. Thanks

Why would you want a 172RG? That has got to be the most miserable aircraft I have ever flown.

C'mon - the 172RG isn't THAT bad to fly. Just a complex 172 is all. Wouldn't own one, though. I'd probably spend the money on a straight legged 182 instead.

I agree, C-182 straight leg or up.

Sitting here thinking, I thought, you know what? The C-172RG was a miserable airplane to fly. Just felt like it was sick with some kind of disease. Never had the oumph to do anything.

I feel like I have had a moment of closure.;)

they don't call the C172RG the Gutlas for nothing. It is gutlas. Slow!!!!! Even though most likely in your case your building time do it in an Arrow or something more stable then a C172. Jump in a C182RG or something. Might as well do H.P. and complex.

I agree that the Gutless sucks. It's underpowered and the gear has a tendency to get stuck...

Jeebus - you guys are hard core. Gutless? Compared to what? The thing flies like a 180HP 172 - which it is. The gear's a pain in the a** and I'd certainly not want to own one, but you can't step into a Cutless and figure you'd get 210 performance out if it...

I've flown 3 of them. One was genuinely a piece of crap - but that was the owner's fault. The other two were just fine. I mean, how much extra performance do you get from an Arrow 180 over an Archer?

new 172 Sp

The new straight leg 172SP has better performance than the Gutless. Cost of insurance is less too probably since the chance of landing it wheels up is significantly less. But then again you do not get to log the complex time.
