Thank you, but it's not really my loss. Many people are feeling much worse than I. I am deeply saddened by the tragedy but the pilot was a student at the school I work for, not a close friend, though I think aviation links us all.
His past instructors, friends, and family are suffering far worse than I. Just wanted to make it clear. If they read this, I don't want them thinking I am claiming the support for this...they need it much more than I do. Thank you for your kind words nonetheless. I'm sure they would appreciate them.
All of us are very curious and trying to avoid speculation. Anyone know approximately how long it takes the NTSB to put out an initial report? Going to be tough to figure it out...they were out sightseeing, not talking to anybody. The plane was definitely not under control when it hit but it seems like there are a lot of possible reasons for that.
