I was wandering if someone could give me the fuel burn for a C310 R ? i need climb, cruise, and descent. Im going to be flying one for a couple of weeks and was wanting to do some pre-planning. thanks for your help

When I used to fly cancelled checks in C310Rs, we used to plan on a burn of 40 gph. I know that is probably on the high side compared to how most people fly them, but we flew them hard. We climbed, cruised and descended at 25" or full throttle depending on altitude/2500rpm/full rich mixture. The engines were surprisingly reliable in spite of what we were doing to them.

Poor Pilot

Much like UPSer, we use 34 gph + 6gal for takeoff & landing ie, 1 hour flight... 34 gal plus 6 for TO & landing = 40 gal; 2 hour flight... 68 gal +6 for TO & landing = 74 gal. We use full throttle/2500rpm/mixture full rich for climb and 24"/2400rpm/lean to 100 degrees rich of peak EGT for cruise.

I really like the 310R myself. In fact, if our 310s had autopilot and a larger cargo door, I would probably like them as well as the Barons.

Boilerbacker,
I must say I have come around somewhat to the 310. I still think the Be58 is better. I can read a book ok with out the a/p but forget playing gameboy. I sure wish they would fix the busted a/p's, the only working one is NT i think. The biggest improvement would be radar however. Picking my way across Georgia and Alabamastan with the current weather sucks.

310R Burn

I currently fly the 310R for freight at it burns a steady 30 -32 hour at 23 squared. If you need any perf charts pm me and I will scan them for you.
