From the same story;

"Delta's main plan covers 91,000 workers, retirees and dependents. A separate plan for pilots is being scuttled, and the airline says the pension bill won't change that."

UFB

Was wondering about that.

When pension uncertainty is cleared up the stage will be set for Merger City!

Delta wants to be with CAL...

CAL wants to be with UAL...

UAL wants to be with CAL...

USAir wants to be with Delta...

Anybody know what NWA wants (besides avoidance of Ch 7)?

HA! You've sure got that right!

Thank god George Bush got that bill signed just in time to save thousands of working families a life changing financial disruption at a late stage in their lives. This pension bill will be right up there with the ATSB loans as something that looks good on paper but fails to benefit the majority of working families in this industry. oh well.

Ole Georgy Boy didn't sign it soon enough. My airline had already sent the pension monies to the PBGC.

Surprised he had time since he's been busy violating the constitution and a number of laws.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/08/17/domesticspying.lawsuit/index.html

She declared that the program "violates the separation of powers doctrine, the Administrative Procedures Act, the First and Fourth amendments to the United States Constitution, the FISA and Title III."
Her ruling went on to say that "the president of the United States ... has undisputedly violated the Fourth in failing to procure judicial orders."

I have no problem with the NSA program. Also, I could have told you this liberal judge from Detroit would have ruled with the Democrats...err, they way she did.
