BUSH MAKES THE CALL

President Bush on Wednesday night was to make the ultimate call whether to strike and invade Iraq with military force, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A top White House source offered few details, but did reveal the president would make a "defining decision" by morning.

The news comes just hours after Bush discussed top secret battle plans at the White House with his national security team and Army Gen. Tommy Franks, the man who would lead American forces in Iraq.

I support our President in any and all decisions that he makes. For all the troops scattered all over the world GO,GO and get back home ASAP>>>>>>>>>

2nd on that. and how about recalling all our folks from South Korea, Japan and Germany. We can deal with NK using cruise missiles and sat guided bombs to handle those reactors. US ground forces in NK might bring the Chi-Coms out of their hole.

I don't guess I see the need to keep a presence in these countries any longer. maybe they could help protect our borders?! anyone have a good argument for keeping tens of thousands of our folks in these places?

DRUDGE REPORT !!!

Now that is a great source to be getting your decloration of war from. Get a reliable source then come back and support your rumors.

It is a press conference not an address to the nation that would indeed be a precurser to a war decloration.

Talk about news agencies trying to get a scoop without credible information.

Gotta love the news,

When has Drudge been wrong? He broke the Monica Lewinski story well ahead of everyone else. What's the deal, TX, you work for mainstream media? ;)

It is sad to think the Lewinski story was worthy to be broken.

I am the type of person that thinks my personal life is mine and the same should go for those in public office too.

I could care less if he dipped his cigar in someone other than Hillary. That is his choice and his alone.

I am a conservative; republican that thinks the Drudge report is a political tabloid that spouts out as much information as it can in hopes that one becomes true. I do not respect news groups like that.

Then again I think all news agencies do that from time to time but it seems that the Drudge Report is worse than some of the others.

Disagree with me all you want, as you are free to have your opinion and I do have mine.

By the way I searched the Drudge Report for the article and it is gone. Chock this one up to: first report what you can't prove then remove it once you are proven WRONG!

It is funny that a website can filter out all that is wrong after reporting it and still maintain its credibility.

Do I read it? Every once in a while, for a laugh.

Prodigal, don't get your pu$$y hairs in a knot, one letter in one word is a hell of a lot better than other morons who post on this site.

Chrissie Hynde....is that you? Barbra? Alec?

BTW... it's Lewinsky

Just goes to show you how much I cared about that topic.

Good god, heaven forbid I sound like them. What did I say that sounded like them? I am pro American, pro bomb Saddam, anti Blix (I think he is a pawn), anti terrorism, pro torture of terrorists for information.

I just don't like sensationalist news. I could care less who J-lo is dating, I could care less what stars think, as they are pawns for publicity anyway. In fact they should stick to the script and be seen on TV shows or movies and not in politics.

Thanks Aeronca,

If you read at the bottom of the article you will see this disclaimer:

"Filed By Matt Drudge
Reports are moved when circumstances warrant."

Ari Fliesher said that this was a news conference to address the concerns of the nation, not to declare war, as the article assumes. If he is not a high White House official then I don't know who is.

If they do say 72hrs then that is still too long. 72hrs won't do anything more than what the past 11 years has done and that is nothing.

Godspeed our fine troops. In a month American men, some only 18, will likely be standing in Bagdad. Good luck and most importantly... come home.

Time for Action

Im tired of hearing talk. I think it's time for us to go over there and get Saddam out of there. Lots of people think that the market and the airlines won't get better till the Iraq thing is taken care of. I also wish they would hurry up b/c I'm tired of hearing Sean Pen and Martin Sheen whine about how much Bush sucks. I could care less what they think! If we don't take care of Saddam now, he will only come back to bite us a few years later.

Just my 2cents
