Ok I'm trying to get to Orlando on Oct. 20th from Phoenix on a buddy pass. It looks to me like my only option is phx-aus on usair express and then aus-mco on delta express (freedom), but my friend at mesa tells me freedom won't usually take mesa buddy passes? Is this correct, and does anyone have any better ideas or routes I could take? Thanks.

You openly admit that you're a Mesa buddy?:puke:

I probably should have expected responses like this over on the regionals board... oh well.

Unfortunately that's correct. Right now the Mesa/Freedom buddy pass thing isn't cross platform. Can't do it.

You can use your buddy pass for up to 4 legs on any Mesa Airlines, operated aircraft, not any Mesa Air Group aircraft (so no luck flying on Freedom or Air Midwest . . .but you could fly on Go!, because that's Mesa Airlines as well).

I don't think we're currently flying any Mesa Airlines planes to KORL. Offhand, you should theoretically be able to fly from PHX to CLT or SAT pretty easily. From there, I'm not really sure how you'll get to Florida.

Best bet would be to go to the UsAirways site and start playing around. In the "details" section of your itinerary, look for a big purple "M" . . that means Mesa operated.

Good luck.

AMW does take buddy passes...Freedom does not. Ask your buddy at Mesa for a US Airways companion pass, that'll get ya there. All Mesa employees have these, and its a hundred bucks on mainline to get west to east and back again

The problems is that Delta won't recognize Mesa buddy passes so you’re screwed on that part. But normally Mesa buddy passes will work on any "Mesa air group flight" so that includes Mesa, Freedom, Air Midwest, Go it says up in the top right corner of the pass.. Mesa was flying into Daytona beach on the united express side out of IAD that’s probably about the closest you would be able to get or get a Comair, ASA or CHQ pass.

Thanks for the constructive responses... RJP and AWACO, did your teacher let you on the computer during recess or something?

3rd period is computer lab and we're required to post at least four times each day or we don't get a gold star for the day.
