inline!!

Hey don't be so quick to jump on the ol' mil versus civ debate. If you go down the threads on this board open up the "JBLU Hiring Trends" and see the info posted there. Somebody broke down the rough percentages on JBLU pilot hiring profiles. From that info it looks like at least 50% of the pilots hired at JBLU today have a civilian-only background. I know you've probably had a resume on file with them forever, but don't lose patience or hope. There are over 6,000 resumes on file at JBLU and it will take some time to get the call. Nobody at JBLU has thrown yours in the cyber waste basket yet.

Crack Kills!

Try this soon, before Google fixes its site:

1) Go to Google.com;
2) type in (but don't hit return): "weapons of mass destruction"

3) Hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button, instead of the normal

"Google search" button;

4) READ what appears to be a NORMAL error message carefully

I couldn't agree more

Every Red Blooded American should fly exclusivly on

ALASKA AIRLINES!!! No commie pinko planes at this all American institution!! We'd be glad to relieve anybody of their greenbacks.

It`s not like Jet Blue just ordered a bunch of buses yesterday. They have had buses for a few years now. Why are ya waiting until now to bring this up? I`m a fan of Boeing myself, but if they offered me an interview, I`d be there the minute I hung up the phone.

"Go Delta!!! Go Continental!!! Go Southwest!!! Go Air Tran"

Delta- Flew A310-200 and -300 aircraft from '91-'95 (The -300's being purchased new from Airbus)

Continental- Had a sizeable fleet of A300 aircraft up until '98, Also had orders in for A340 and 330 aircraft before Bethune took over.

Air Tran- Currently wet-leasing A320's from Ryan International

Southwest- Okay, I'll give you that one.

-------------

Now the airlines you hate.....

American- Small fleet of A-300-600 aircraft, most purchased in the early 90's, well offset by huge fleet of MD-80, 757/767, 737, etc....

Northwest- HUGE DC-9 fleet, I'd say they are keeping the -9 parts buisness going strong.

United-Sure, lots of A-320/319's, but check out the rest of the fleet.....ALL BOEING

Almost every major US airline has some Airbus history, except for SWA and Alaska. Sounds like you are outnumbered.

Hey Bally

NWA has Airbus and Boeing in its fleet. Does that make them kind of like a Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde?:)

Bally,

Are you for real? Here's how it works: capitalist choses product MOST SUITED FOR THE BUSINESS, made by the company able to sell said product at a terms most ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE BUYER.

Please do tell how any of your diatribe contains a valid point. Let's see....David Neelman: clever entrepreneur whose bold LCC provides a livelyhood for thousands of Americans. You: guy with computer. David Neelman: Creator of wealth and commerce. You: Bitter individual who would by your actions and deeds compel others to, along with your assistance, engage in an activity that produces nothing, except your feeling of having accomplished some sort of perverse patriotic crusade.

Concerning your love of bashing the French, dude.. get a life. Too many people in both the US and France forget that our countries owe their very existence to each other. WE WOULD NOT BE HERE WERE IT NOT FOR THE ACTIONS OF THE FRENCH!

And lastly, what really irks me is where do you get off telling ANYONE they are not nationalistic enough? or that they don't understand patriotism? Get lost! Take your binders, sermonizing and negative garbage somewhere else. How dare you lecture anyone on patriotism! Did you serve? I doubt it. Most of those who do have a more well-rounded sense of how the world works than you post suggests you do.

Bally,

As I recall, you are a former BBJ captain who joined Southwest recently. In a previous post, you stated that you often spent long periods of time stationed in Paris. Could that have tainted your viewpoint? Spending more than a day in France is enough to drive any sane American crazy...

P.S. How do you like your Southwest flying vs. your previous BBJ flying? Is the job everything you expected it to be? How do you like all of the ups and downs every day (mulitple sectors)?

Cheers

I remember that the A310's we received were from the Pan Am deal, and they did not last long. I don't think we got any new from Airbus, and if we did we got rid of them quickly. Probably because they weren't American enough and people hated them.

Go SONG. (All 3 NYC airports served)

Bye Bye--General Lee:cool: :D :D :D :D :D :p :p :p

Won't you have to add United, USAir, and American to your boycot since they all fly the Airbus. Also, don't forget all of the Canadian RJ's at Delta, American, USAir, United, etc. You had better start taking Greyhound (unless they operate French buses).

Brazilians don't count----and by the way the women there are HOT. No, really.

There were three...

countries that we counted on for support that let us down; France, Germany, and Canada. There was talk of boycotting all three, but I think France is just an easier target.

With that in mind, look at this:Boeing Job

Boeing makes a big deal of buying American, then passes up Gulfstream for Bombardier.

Hey Bally,

No PM yet. What gives?
