Was watching some youtube stuff, (really enjoy the old radials) and of course some firefighting videos pop up. After watching a bunch of them I had a few questions:

1. How many SEAT guys get hurt a year? (those guys really get down and dirty)

2. How many Recips are left?

3. The 747 vs Dc-10 capabilities seem really different. Having flown both I can not imagine a better platform visually than the DC-10, the 74 is not that easy to see out of in comparision. The delivery system on the 74 seems to put out the fluid in an aerated fashion almost like it is coming out of my paintgun. The DC-10 seems to have fluid coming out in a much tighter pattern. It would seem to me that the fluid staying somewhat closer together for the lack of a better term would have better results for the guys on the ground.

Cool stuff, my favorite video is the one where a DC-6 dumps a load over some guys that are clearly in a bad place, their truck gets covered with fluid.
