Boom Operator employment

Hello aviators,

I am a retired Instructor KC-135 boom operator, and I was wondering if anyone had any iformation on becoming a KC-10 boom operator. My last deployment was 2005.

Chevron, Texaco, Shell, Citgo, BP, etc...

You are qualified to pump gas and that's it. Go pump gas on the flight line or do the "Would you like 87 or 93 octane, Ma'am" thing... In a "cannot" self-serve state like Oregon or New Jersey...

Not too many "on the flight" civilian missions needing aerial refueling. Are you wanting to tank up with a semi-TRUCK on the long haul? News flash...they go to Flying J's, Pilots, T/A's, whatever truckstop...

Have you contacted the AFRES units?

I knew a lot of the guys at McGuire that came from Barksdale. I don't know if they are still all working or not. The last time I swung the KC-10 boom was in '92.
