Can, or would, anyone who is/has been affiliated with the Boeing Corp flight department comment on what it is like there? I was curious about the amount of their flying, how they are scheduled, that kind of stuff. A bit broad I know, but if anyone is able to offer any ideas on what it is like there, it would be appreciated.

wow I need to get on here more often. A little concerned though because they seem to be looking every couple years.

They have a lot of aircraft, and many pilots. This could be because of growth, or retirements. Looking for new pilots every couple of years, wouldn't scare me off. I don't know anyone there, but I have talked to some of their crews, and none of them seemed disgruntled.

My buddy said that they are having a lot of guys retire. He's on the mx side but he loves it there.

Take it for what it's worth.

Many large departments are. Vietnam era guys are leaving.

I love how minimally (at best) qualified people worry about supposed turn over rates and how it may affect them at an advertised position.

Like anywhere - if interested one should apply, interview, and ask a lot of questions to see if its a good fit.

Its rare that department info obtained from a pilot message board is relaible or factual.

My sources say that this is more due to expansions and retirements than anything else. I don't think there is a need to speculate about this department as it gets good reviews in the Chicago area. Good management team and good equipment.
