A long time ago Ernie Gann said that he noticed that most airplane pilots have blue eyes. I think it's true, but I can't imagine why.

When he bet that if you're reading this you have blue eyes, was he right?

I don't have-

Blue eyes
Big pilot watch
RJ type rating
PFT debts
SJS
Age waiver ATP
Financed sunglasses collection

I want to be the minority--Green Day

Not blue... Steel grey.

I USED to have a big pilot watch (shut up Diesel)...

Salt and pepper hair (looks distinguished but not ancient)...

Yeah, Ernie would approve...

;) ;) ;) TC

Which part?

My Iris is green.

Otherwise they're pretty much bloodshot with dark bags.

Cheers.

The "Eyes" have it

Green eyes with blood shot accents. Deep rich dark circles under them too. No Big watch, just a cheap Casio. I don't even wear the "Rolex" I bought on Canal St. NY. for $50.00 (fake).

Yeah, a long-lost brother. Me: Green, crusty eyes, big bags from lack of sleep, balding, stress lines all over my face, a Timex watch, and $8 sunglasses from a gas station. Patches of beard from the sloppy shave at 3:00 AM East coast wakeup.

What's the deal with a big watch with 18 dials, that tells the time on the Southern Hemisphere of Mars? What possible use is such a watch to a pilot, and how did a big watch become a pilot cliche?
