Orlando Salinis of the FOX News channel, just stated that the Venezualan immigrant pilots had been "blowin right right thru security, right into the cockpit".

Man I wish that I could blow right thru security and right into the cockpit. (btw, which one of the similies bests shows sarcasm?)

I previously posted that I didn't think that this would be a black eye for our industry. I WAS WRONG. It seems that the incompotent media will manage to blow the story as usual.

One more thing. Has anyone seen Mr Woerth, etc. on TV explaining that pilots do not get to "blow thru security"?
This would be a great time for our reps to defend the profession.

Does ALPA still do that?
Seems to me they've been too busy lately pushing courts and arbitrators to screw the second tier ALPA members in favor of the first tier ALPA members at US Airways, Delta, and Northwest. I won't even get into the 100 new TWA furloughees.
Maybe ALPA should pull it's head out of the sand and realize they need to defend the homeland first. They have forgotten their basic mission.
