It'll stay an airport until the next housing boom.

Yeah, little doubt of that. But what a strange airport. Didn't the guy scrape off the topsoil from the entire airport grounds and sell it? And was there not a sub-scale railway that went around the airport perimeter? Its been years since I've been there, and it was dark to boot...

it was a strange airport.
Brown took about 50 feet rock and sold it. He likely
made several million in the process. There used to
be a small ferris wheel and other rides and a little
train that circled a large part of the airport. Most
of the buildings are falling apart and the runway
needs millions of $ in repair. Think of him as an
airport slum lord.

You never could get them to plow the runway so winter ops was dicey at best.

It could have been a great airport, it'll soon be a
good community.
