So I was reading Aviation International News and see this article on the 110 seat CRJ. Any guesses who will buy them (besides Mesa)?

It doesn't matter as long as they have a quick upgrade...

undisclosed order....Skywest, now will they actually include a pay scale for the CRJ-1000, or will it still go for the barbie CRJ pay?

Can you say "tail-strike"

So we have an aircraft that carries as many, or more, passengers and as far as mainline aircraft such as the 717, 737-200/500/600, DC-9-30, F-100, A318, EMB-190/195, etc. But, it has "RJ" in its name so it'll be flown by regional carriers for regional payrates?

Maybe we should change the name of this forum from "Regional" to "Outsourced"

NS Rusky! I can't tell you how many times that 900 aaaaaalmost hits when I watch someone yank up instead of flying it off.
Do tell-how many times? You sound like a passenger who says "The pilot was flying waaaaay to fast and he also landed long."

And they will continue to sell out 1/3rd of their pilot group to get it!!! I'm sure the Bro guys will love 'em for that.

More like 20% but it still sucks for them. Bombardier needs to stop adding plugs and needs to reinvent to 700 so it has overheads that fit roller boards.

...especially after the plane goes into the grass....

 Noooooooo. I mean about 7 times, which is a LOT considering how little timeI spend watching cool kids like you in your shiny new jet....

Seriously, I get the room facing the runway here and there and too many times I see that sucker yanked off the ground and I mean MAYBE a foot or two between tail and ground. Like the PF thinks he has to keep pulling until it flies.

It could be Skywest. Jerry Atkin said about a month ago, that he had to personally goto Montreal, to sign a deal with Bombardier and he couldn't talk about what that deal was. Either way, it's probably for more airplanes, whatever they are.

He went to place an order for 25 -900's and 15 -700's for us at ASA because after the company and ALPA met seperatly with the NMB 3 weeks ago, they've reached an agreement and it will be signed at the end of May. Details to be released when ALPA decides we need to know....;)
