Hi...

Crash-proof,

Just buy mine... Check the link for more.

Yea, I don't think I could part with mine anyway. I think if a buyer told me to put a rear tire on it and he would give me the 3K I want for it...I would probably wind up riding it around the block and then decline to sell it.

If you're in the midwest, I'm about to sell my 1984 Honda Sabre. I'll throw in two dorky helmets and it has a windscreen. Getting the annual tune-up this weekend, it has 24,000 on it and a couple dings in the paint, but runs perfect. $1200.

Believe me, it bugs me to be even considering letting mine go. Besides the fact that it's in near showroom condition, I have over 20 years of history with the 'ol girl. More than with my wife! :) Although I don't ride as much as I once did, the second that engine roars to life seems like I never missed a day. D@mn...

That's a sweet ride! Now you've got me thinking in old inline-4s, like this one and the Honda CBs. I'd ride one like that anyday!

Check your PM...

crash-proof,

I'm in the same spot. Just took the state rider's course a few weeks ago and loved it, but I'm still not convinced I'm a motorcycle guy. If it's just me and the road, no problem. But when you factor in the other morons on the road that try to kill me every day in my car...that's where I hesitate. I might have a brand new HJC full-face helmet for you if you're interested. It was used only for the 3-day course in cool weather (no sweating).

Aside from that, if I DO get a bike, I'm sold on the Honda Shadow VT 600.

Here's a link to a great used cycle shop that has a very wide selection of bikes and photos to view. Even if you don't want used, you can get an idea of what you might like.

inline aircooleds.
go nuts.
getting a bike? don't go half-assed about it.
get a BYYYYYKE !

honda CBX. inline 6. all those PIPES!!!

not aircooled...but...a V-MAX. you can cruise on it. people can ride on the back. and you can also tear $hit up too.

if youre not going cross country, how about restoring an older bike. something classic. an older BMW? or Norton commando 750 with a bullet fairing?....cant go wrong with a norton comando.

eh,....
i'm going back to my coffee now.
