Everything I've ever heard or read has indicated that the total operating costs for the BBJ and big Gulfstreams are fairly comparable. The big problem with the BBJ and larger aircraft is ramp presence - they're huge. At many airports you've got ramp and parking issues to deal with as well as taxiway weight limits. You've got to be mindful of where you're going. We see the Sultan's A340 sitting on the ramp at Grand Junction all of the time because it can't go into Aspen.psysicx said:Does it cost more to operate a BBJ over a Gulfstream?
