Amazing how many years I thought the words were something else that made no sense at all.... kinda like the "pour some shook up ramen" thing.

There building another B-52, so all is not lost, they know the risks that comes with RC jets.

There is always risk

Well, at least it wasn't a SAM or small arms fire! Although the pilot probably wishes it were. Looks like he stalled it in the turn.....but I will wait for the accident report before I pass judgement.

Lucky it hadn't made it back around to the spectator area. It could've easily killed somebody!

That being said, I really feel for the folks who obviously put a lot of time and effort into a topnotch model.

First of all, I have to say it was an absolutely spectactular model.

But as anyone who flys RC knows, there is always a chance that your pride and joy will wind up being "re-kitted"

I really feel for these guys, but that noise you hear on the audio wasn't these guys breathing hard. From the reports I heard, the weather was really gusting and the conditions were far from ideal for flying.

Ironically, the smoke cloud/fireball from the impact point was exactly to scale :( :( :( .

Unfortunately, there's some footage out there to verify that. From when that idiot who crashed the real B-52H around '94, horsing around while preparing for an airshow.

If anyone ever needs a motivation not to exceed the documented limits of their aircraft, read the following report, then watch the video:
